Colors of Me

Black, craddled me in its womb
The Sound of Heartbeat
Slowly beating out of tune.

White, the light that blinds
I came out of the abyss
into a world of humanity.

Purple, the horizon's sky
of ancient wisdom and beliefs
etched within my soul.

Yellow, the scent of doubt
whispering softly in my ears
words of fear and guilt.

Blue, tainted into the sea
of tears I hold within
spilling into the ocean of dreams.

Red, flaming into fury
Of life's injustices seeking
raging through my sanity.

Green, my poor soul heals
from the misery of the world
is but a tune of numbness.

Orange, vibrant hope that fills
Reborn in spring time
A better joy through the end of days.

Colors of my life, painting
a canvass that captures
the colors of me.
